Second to last week in Melbourne.

Eureka is 285 tall, and it has the tallest public observation deck in the southern hemisphere.
Las night, May, Jeff and I went up the Eureka, 88th floor skydeck. There is a glass cube where you stand in and look down 88 floors below to the ground. May spent most of her time avoiding to stand on the transparent glass, and took careful steps on the black steel, haha. Here we are in the cube, with Melbourne city behind us..
Melbourne is gorgeous in the night.. If anyone is going up there someday, choose the time of sunset.
This view below is SPLENDID! Southbank ~ the river that runs beside Eureka. The city is the opposite side. There are many bars and restaurants, including the casino, that line the Yarra River.Tuesday was Melbourne cup day, Shaun (Jeff's dentist friend living in Melbourne) drove Jeff and I to Philip Islands, 1.5hours drive away from Melbourne, connected to the bay by a bridge.

We saw palicans being fed.. they are much bigger than I imagined, especially their mouth.. I see why people created the story of them carrying babies to our doorsteps.

The beach on Philip Island was calm, and the sand was warm and soft between my toes..

Jeff and I worked on builiding something out of sand..
And here we are with the result from our hard work! And then, we did what normal people do at the beach..There were quite a few good short walking tracks on the beach and inlands. Last Friday, Sabine and I organised a dinner for all the elective students to meet up for one last time before we start to depart Melbourne. We have two from London, 1 Scotland, 1 Switzerland, 4 Germans, and 4 New Zealanders!Shanu, from Wellington, is on my left, and Chris from London is on my right.
Jeff, May and I visited the Museum.. I wont show you the boring photos.. Just a couple funny ones.
There is an illusion room which makes the people standing on the right side look much bigger than the people on the left side. This is very well demonstrated by TINY JEFF and GIGANTIC MAY AND CINDY.
